Recently bitten by the travel bug, I have traveled with my husband to more than 25 cities in the past 12 months for literally pennies on the dollar. I used to think travel had to be complicated, time consuming and expensive. Now armed with a powerful arsenal of the latest travel tricks and hidden gems, I have since traded in that belief for a new travel philosophy that embraces whimsical travel – travel whenever the whimsy (or travel bargain) strikes.
